PLANNING BOARD MEETING
February 26, 1946
Present
Messrs, Houdlette, Ferguson, Worthen, Richards and Cromwell.
John Baskin
John Baskin and William H. Lyon consulted with the Board
regarding three properties which Mr. Baskin plans to develop.
No action by the Board was required.
Ten-year Budget
The Planning Board considered a letter dated February 15
from the Selectmen requesting the Board to consult with the various
town departments and committees "for the purpose of making a
recommendation of a ten-year capital outlay program of the town
and to submit a report to the Board of Selectmen."
It was decided to advise the Selectmen that the Board
would defer this matter until after the town meeting since many
projects will be voted upon at such time.
Clifford H. Faulkingham
The Board received a completed copy of Form A (on zoning
change) from R. E. Kempton, Kimball Building, 18 Tremont Street,
Boston, attorney for Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Faulkingham. The request
was for a change in the zoning laws to permit construction of a
single story business block on the property at 536-546 Massachusetts
Avenue. Instructions on filing Form B were requested.
The Planning Board designated the area described as
affected:
All property between Massachusetts Avenue and the Boston
& Maine Railroad from a point opposite the end of Pleasant Street
to Fottler Avenue.
On the southerly side of Massachusetts Avenue all the
property included in the following area: From Pleasant Street
on Massachusetts Avenue to and including the land now(ar formerly of
Middlesex County National Bank of Everett, thence southerly
including land now or formerly of Thomas P. Killion, land now or
formerly owned by the Town of Lexington, land now or formerly of
Howard S. 0. Nichols, thence westerly to include land now or
formerly of Margaret C. and Martha J. Wilson, Trustees and northerly
on the easterly side of Pleasant Street to Massachusetts Avenue.
