HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-01-15MEETING OF PLANNING BOARD
January 15, 1946
Present
Messrs. Worthen, Ferguson, Houdlette, and Richards
Lowell Street property
Mr. Burtch appeared before the Board with plan of his
land adjacent to Lowell St., near Butterfield's Pond. The owner
desired to divide into lots about 7501 fronting on Lowell St.,
in depth back to the water. Inasmuch as the layout will not be
a subdivision, no action was necessary by the Board, except that
the lots meet the area requirements, and it appeared to be simply
a matter of recording the lots.
Cutler Farm Subdivision
Mr. Joyce, surveyor, appeared before the Board, representing
Mr. Carrig. The plat has been corrected, in the main, to conform
with the previous recommendations of the Planning Board. There
was considerable discussion on street grades, sewer and surface
water disposal, and the question of reserve strip and location of
street parallel to the Turnpike. The layout, however, was finally
approved.
Nomination Papers
Nomination papers for Messrs. Nickerson and Worthen have
been filed with the Town Clerk.
Parking Area
The proposed parking area and cross steet were discussed
briefly relative to going over the special report at a subsequent
joint meeting of Selectmen, Appropriation Committee, Parking
Committee, and Planning Board. Action will be requesed at the
annual March meeting.
No date was set for the next meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
Clerk, pro -tem.
