Presents Messrs. Greeley, Ferguson and Cromwell
The minutes of previous meetings from March 20, 1944 to
September 25, 1944, inclusive, were approved.
The budget of the Planning Board for 1945 was estimated
and approved for a total of $250.00.
Poison Ivy
Mr. Ferguson reported that he had acquired considerable
information on methods of poison ivy control. He said that certain
chemicals which would be required were not now available but that he
understood they might be available by spring.
Mosquito Control
Mr. Cromwell read to the meeting a letter from the State
Department of Agriculture advising him that in 1938 the state had
made a survey of,mosquito-breeding conditions in Lexington. The
results of such survey had been set forth in a letter to Mr. Raymond,
' the then Superintendent of Public Works. A copy of this letter was
enclosed. Various pamphlets on mosquito control also received from
the Department of -Agriculture were enclosed.
All of this material was placed in the hands of Mr. Greeley.
Postwar Planning
School Sites
It was decided that the Planning Board should communicate
with the two committees {which it understands have been appointed,
on Postwar Planning and School Sites to advise them that it is cable
and willing to cooperate with them.-
