Street Signs The Board traveled by car over a good part of the main highways of Lexington and made notes on the condition of existing street and route signs and on the desirability of location. They also made notes of locations where signs should be placed. Later they discussed this:.matter with Mr. Paxton. He had been aware of the poor condition of signs and appreciated the Board's work. The. Board offered to make a more complete survey if he wished and he said this would be of great assistance. The Board is to meet ©n Tuesday, July 18, to continue its survey of signs.
