' March 27, 1944
Presents Messrs. Nickerson, Worthen, Richards, Ferguson and
Cromwell.
The Board authorized payment of $28.13 to Carl G. Vienot,
Inc. for typing five copies of the report for 1943 of the
Advance Programming and Budgeting Committee.
The Board voted payment of $50.00 to Fred Newhall for work
done ori preparation of the above report.
The Board and the fire engineers met with the selectmen to
discuss the fire station question. The fire engineers submitted
their report to the selectmen and the Planning Board read their
report. The selectmen asked to have the Planning Board's report
typed and sent to them.
The Selectmen apparently no longer favor use of the Barnes
property and seem to favor the location near Johnson's garage for
the central fire station and the existing site for the East
Lexington station. They will not, however, come to any final
' decision until Mr. Rowse;rettcrns, which should be some time in
the middle of April.
Meeting adjourned 9:15 P.M.
