PLANNING BOARD MEETING
February 9, 1942
A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held on
Monday, February 9th at 7:30 P. M. in the Town Office
Building, with Messrs. Greeley, Kimball, Nickerson, Ellis
and Newhall present.
The parking question was again discussed, based on the
report of a recent meeting with a Chamber of Commerce eom- Parking
mittee, the Planning Board being represented by Edwin B.
Worthen, Jr. The chairman was asked to write a letter to
the Chamber of Commerce stating that the Board would like to
continue the study with them.
A Mr. Murray appeared before the Board, presenting plans
for the proposed sub -division of the so-called "Taylor
Estate", being land bounded by Bedford Street, Revere Street
and'Larchmont Lane. The plan was accepted tentatively by the
board with the suggestion that a further effort be made to
rearrange the lots so that fewer of them would have egress
on Bedford Street. Mr. Greeley agreed to make a try at the
new arrangement and Mr. Murray was asked to appear again
before the Board at the nect meeting.
Mr. Kimball reported that a letter had been received
from the Board of Assessors stating, as we had requested,
that the property included in the district which we propose
to have changed from Cl to Rl, between Winthrop Road on the
west side of Mass. Avenue to the Thivierge property, was now
assessed on a residential basis. This letter will be used,
if.necessary, at the Town Meeting when the proposed change
is submitted for vote.
The Board approved payment of bills as follows:
Adams Press, Inc. $3.50 and $6.00, Mary Corcoran $5.00.
Mr. Newhall's report of progress was accepted. The
report is practically finished and ready for the printer.

It was voted that the revised draft of the proposed Zoning
amendment to the Zoning Law regarding side yards be accepted. Law

1942.
