PLANNING BOARD MEETING
January 13, 1942
A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held
Tuesday, January 13, at 7 :30 P. M. Messrs. Greeley,
Nickerson, Kimball, Ellis and Newhall were present. The
minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented.
It was voted to ask for a change of the zone from Zoning Law
Winthrop Road on the west side of Mass. Avenue through the Changes
Baptist Church property (not to include the Thivierge property
next beyond the church holdings) from Cl to Rl. Mr. Kimball
was authorized to notify Daniel O'Connell of the decision.
It was also voted to ask for a change in the number of
associate members on the Board of Appeals and to ask for a
change in respect to the prevention of the recurrence of the
same application for a Zoning Law change oftener than at
two-tjoar intervals, except on approval or instigation of the
Planning Board.
It was voted that the necessary steps be taken to hold Hearings
a hearing on Friday, February 13th at 7 :45 for the change
in the Board of Appeals , at 8:00 P. M. for recurring peti-
tions , and 8:15 P. M. for the change in the Winthrop Road to
Thivierge zone. Mr. Kimball is to prepare the notices for
the hearing and the articles for the Town Meeting, in collab-
oration with Mr. Wrightington, Town Counsel.
Mr. Kimball reported completion of the population Population
density maps and, at the suggestion of Mr. Nickerson, it Density
was voted to offer use of these maps to the Town for Maps
defense purposes. The Clerk was instructed to so notify
Mr. Manfred Warren, Chief Air Raid Warden, in such form
and size as he might wish. The Planning Board is to under-
write any expense for reproduction of the maps up to the
sum of $25.00.
Mr. Newhall reported that the budget was nearing
completion, the programming committee having met several Six-Year
times and the first draft was to be completed and pre- Budget
sented to the Selectmen and Appropriation Committee by
February 2d. It was voted to authorize the printing of
300 copies of the completed report, any additional expense
to be allowed for.
The meeting adjourned at 9 :15 P. M. and the next meeting
will be held Monday evening, January 26th.
