I
December 29,1941
A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held Monday,
December 29th at 7;30 P. M. Messrs. Greeley, Ellis and Newhall
were present.
The matter of amending the Zoning Laws to prevent reintro- Boning
duction of a proposed change within a period of two years was Law
again discussed. It was decided to wait until some other proposed Changes
change came up for a hearing and Town Meeting action and to com-
bine the two, thus saving some expense.
Relative to the change of the west side of Massachusetts
Avenue from 01 to R1, as previously described, it was voted to
let the Thivierge angle rest since they apparently do not plan
to answer our query as to what they wish to have done with their
property.
A reply from Philip Nichols, chairman of the Executive Board
of the Mass. Federation of Planning Board, to our request for in-
formation in connection with Betterment Assessments for this Betterment
town, was read and placed on file. It was voted to supply the Assessments
Board of Selectmen with a copy of the letter.
' It was voted to appropriate a sum of not more than $75*
to be used under the supervision of Mr. Newhall in having the
completed budget form printed in satisfactory manner. Mention Six -Year
was made of the meeting of the joint committee for Friday, Budget
January 2d at 8 P. M.
A letter was read from Mr. E. B. Worthen requesting the
Board's approval of a plan of a plot in the Simonds Farm which
has been offerred for sale. Since the Simonds property is under
tax title and the lot being on an unaccepted street, it is re-
quired that a majority of the Planning Board approve the plan
in writing before it goes to the Land Court for approval. The
plan was approved and the clerk instructed to get the signature
of Mr. Nickerson to bring a majority.
The meeting adjourned at 9;15 P. M. The next meeting will
be held on Tuesday, January 13th at 7;30 P. M.
Respectfully submitted,
Gierk
