Mr, Newhall reported progress on the budget work. The
Appropriation Committee has agreed to appoint a member to
act on a joint committee with the Planning Board in making
recommendations for the projected figures for prospective
outlay throu,^-h the coming six years. The Selectmen also
agreed, through 11r. Giroux, to appoint one of their members
to serve on the same joint committee. Later word was re-
ceived that this representative would be Mr. E. H. Locke.
Budgets
Mr. Giroux anneared and a discussion was held relative
to a nronosed through way continuing Highland Avenue across Moreland
Marrett Road, along Pollen Road, across the Moreland Avenue Avenue
district to Pleasant Street, thus solvinw some of the access
problems of the T?orel and Avenue residents. No action was
taken.
Mr. Kimball reported regarding the proposed change of
the territory on the west side of 1,1assachusetts Avenue from
?'!inthron Road through the Thivierge property from a Cl to
R1 district, leaving; the remainder of the property to the
north as far as the Colonial Garage in C1. Yr. Kimball was
authorized to write the Thivierges to get their reaction
as to whether they would wish to remain in Cl or have their
property changed to R1. After receipt of a reply, a letter
,,Till be sent to Ir?r. Daniel OlConnell in which it will be
pointed out that he expressed approval of a change in zones
a few years ago and that preparations are now under way for
a hearing. The Board approved the report of progress by
Yr. Kimball.
A letter from Mr. Wrightinfton was read in which he
proposed another try at changing the zoning; law to prevent
multiplicity of the same applicationsfor zoning law changes.
It is again su*-ested that a time limit of two years be im-
posed before the same application can be presented again.
This proposition was tabled until the next meeting.
It was voted to authorize Mr. Kimball to prepare with
Hr. "lrightington a vote for a proposed amendment to the
Zoning Laws viz: to increase the number of associate members
of the =?oard of Anneals to four.
