March 243, 1941
A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held at
7:30 P. M. on Monday, March 24th, in the Town Office Building.
Present were Messrs. Greeley, Kimball, Nickerson, Ellis and
Newhall.
Mr. Roger Greeley was unanimously re-elected chairman of
the board for the ensuing year. Mr. Fred C. Newhall was
elected clerk for the same period.
Mr. Greeley read a letter from D. J. O'Connell requesting
a hearing. The clerk was instructed to inform Mr. O'Connell
that the Board would grant him a conference at the next meeting.
Mr. Greeley read a letter from Mr. Murray Fine, request-
ing information relative to requirements and restrictions on
a tract of farm land for which he is negotiating for develop-
ment purposes. The clerk was instructed to ask Mr. Fine for
a plan of the property in question.

Hearing
Three members of the Concord Planning Board, Mr. Swaim,
' Mr. Judkins and Mr. Little were welcomed at this point. The Concord
visitors were interested in learning about Lexington's methods Planning
and approximately an hour was devoted to showing them about Board
our equipment and methods. The Concord men expressed apprecia-
tion for the time and information given them and expressed the
hope that the call would be returned in the near future.
The meeting reconvened and Mr. Nickerson reported that no
official answer had been received from the Arlington Planning Great
Board, but it was understood that that body had turned the matter
of the ownership of the Great Meadows over to the Selectmen. It Meadows
was decided to await a written answer from Arlington regarding
this matter.
Regarding Tophet Swamp it was suggested that the existing Topl4et
tax title map might be examined and brought up to date. Mr. Swamp
Kimball agreed to take the matter up with Town Engineer Cosgrove.
Mr. Ellis was commissioned to look into the matter of the Medical
Medical Center now in operation in Winchester and report back Center
as to their methods and progress.
It was suggested that Mr. Greeley take up with T. A.
Custance, president of the Chamber of Commerce, the matter Spring
of a general movement for a spring clean-up throughout the Clean-
, Town, up
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned
at 9:40 P. M.
The next meeting will be held Monday, April 7, at '
7:30 P. M. at which time a joint meeting with the Appropkia-
tion Committee has been tentatively arranged.
