HomeMy WebLinkAbout1940-10-14PLANNING BOARD MEETING October 14, 1940 A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held on Monday evening, October 14, at 7:30 P. M. in the Town Office building. All members were present. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as received. Mr. Ellis presented re -assembled data on the center parking area, between Waltham and Muzzey Streets. This comprised a parking plan, a plan showing utilities, area valuations, and final estimated cost tabulations. The possible development of a future shopping group in con- Parking junction with a parking space also was discussed. Mr. Area Kimball outlined plans of procedure for adoption of the parking scheme by the Town. The Board was in agreement that Mr. Ellis should revise the plans and computations on such a basis that they might be considered again next week with the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Greeley made a report of progress on the study of two-family use of existing houses. On the Budget Plan, the Town Accountant's comparative statements, anallzing town receipts and expenditures over Budget a period of years, are being studied. Plan Mr. Kimball agreed to make arrangements for a new stenographer for the Board, to replace Miss Moakley. A letter was reviewed and answered, pertaining to zoning and sanitation as related to residential develop- ments in Lexington. The next meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 21st, at 7;30 P. M.
