' APRIL 29, 1940,
A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held in
the Town Office Building at 7:30 P.M., April 29th. All
members were present except Mr. Nickerson.
The Chairman reported that he and Mr. Ellis had in- Ryder
spected the land proposed for development (Lexington Estates land
Trust) in company with Mr. Ryder. The Clerk was instructed
to communicate with Mr. Ryder, stating that the layout is
in harmony with the Board's general scheme of development
for this area, and that the Board will, upon request of the
Board of Survey, substantiate this opinion.
The Chairman turned over a revised proposed development
of property on Burlington Street, near Simonds Road and
Grove Street, known as Lexington Ridge. This layout was Lexington
reviewed by the Board, and the Clerk was instructed to Ridge
communicate with Mr. Lloyd C. Morang, as above, that the layout.
layout is in harmony with the Board's general scheme of
development for this area.
In reference to a map plotting of property assess-
ments, the Clerk was instructed to write the Board of Assessment
Assessors asking them to meet with the Board to discuss a '
matter of mutual interest.
A general discussion followed, concerned with the Apartment
apartment petition, in which both sides of the question house
were brought out, without a final recommendation on the
matter being decided upon.
The next meeting will be Monday, May 13, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting adjourned at 10 P.M.
