PLANNING BOARD MEETING I JAN. 8th, 1940. A meeting of the Planning Board was held in the Town Office Building, on Monday, Jan. 8th, at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Greeley, Ferguson, Nickerson,.Ellis and Worthen were present. Mr. Greeley read a preliminary draft of the Annual Report, and with mkmr revisions and additions, it was accepted and approved by the Board. Mr. Greeley mentioned a letter from Mr. James Taylor of the State Chamber of Commerce, Burlington, Vt., con- cerning a report containing suggestions in regard to "Town Reports" and making them more readable. The Clerk was instructed to communicate with Mr. Taylor in regard to this matter. Annual Report Mr. Worthen reported briefly on progress by Mr. Taft Real on the real estate listings, which are nearly completed. Estate A bill for thirty dollars, for payment of this work to Listings Mr. Taft, was drawn up, approved, and submitted to the Town Accountant. The Clerk read a letter from Mr. George T. Walsh of the Middlesex Turnpike Association, Lowell, Mass., written to Mr. Giroux of the Board of Selectmen, which was turned over to this Board. Mr. Walsh suggests that if the Lexington officials have a set route that we desire this highway to follow within Lexington, we communicate with the Association for their support. The Clerk was in- structed to communicate with Mr. Walsh and that this Board should draw up a sketch map at the next meeting for sub- mission to the Middlesex Turnpike Association. Middlesex Turnpike The Clerk was instructed to write the Appropriation Committee and the Board of Selectmen, requesting a pub- Balance lished balance sheet showing annual expenditures and the sheet corresponding revenues. Mr. Greeley was nominated for Chairman for the coming Chairman year and elected unanimously. The next meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 22n d, at Meeting 7:30 P.M. The Chamber of Commerce Committee -on Parking and Traffic.has been requested to meet with the Board at this meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. Respectfully submitted, x.13.. . Clerk.
