from an R-.1 District to a C.1 Listrict the area bounded and
described as folloArs:-
"Beginning at a point 200 feet easterly of the
,junction of the easterTy line of Blossom Street with
the southerly line of the new Concord. Highway, thence
easterly along the southerly line of the Concord
lli(;hway 200 feet, and for a depth of 100 feet through-

,.r. Roy Peterson, son of Eric Peterson, stated that
there Tnaasn►t much to say in regard to the petition as it
was the same as presented before .except that the location
had been moved 200 feet down from the corner. He intends
to cut down the bank on the corner of Blossom Street and
cut out on the easter_ltr side to make the driveway a better
angle ^ri.th the road. He presented drawings showing the
former and present locations. P+ir. Peterson showed snapshots
of the location as it is now and some of filling stations
on the ",'estchester Parkway in T?ew York and stated that he
intends to have his of the same design.
,:r. Jorden asked if he still intended to use field
stone and. 1rr. Peterson rexilied that he did.
I`_r. Borden then asked if there were others who wished
to speak either in favor or in opposition.
i,:r. Hobert L. Ruder spoke in favor of the petition and
stated that he had made a study of this situation and believed
that Lr. Peterson had an ideal location and thinks that it is
far enough from the Childs location that if the Town feels
that only two should be granted, this should be the second
one. He also felt that this location was better in many ways
than the Childs location, as it is not at an intersection
and when the bluff is taken down, feels that it will be a
100J location. He stated that he thought the location asked
for in the present petition was even better than the previous
one and ,vas thorouEhl-r in favor of the change.
1; r. Borden asked ar. Peterson if he would agree to the
changing of his area, if the change is granted, from a 0.1
Listrict to a T.1 ?)istrict, and Pair. Peterson replied that he
certainly laou.ld agree and informed the Board that he had stated
Peterson K—lar•ing -2- November 19, 1936
at the previous Town Vieeting that he would agree with the Board --
in anis such matters.
Borden asked if there were others who wished to speak.
r. '.•':?illian P. rnecht, 68 Shade Street, stated that he
represented Dr. Richards and I,Ir. Warner, both of whom wished
to commend the Planning Board on its previous action and ex-
press the hope that the Concord Turnpike would remain residential.
They both want to see this road kept residential and free from
commercial development. He stated that Mr.';;'arner. intends to
develop his land for residential purposes. Then then reported
that both men felt that if the Planning Board deemed that a
?asoline station was necessary, they would not object but
,,,:ere strongly opposed to the sale of used cars.
As there were no others who wished to spear, the Chair-
man declared the hearing closed at 8:15 P. h. and advised
tie -)etitioner that the matter would be taken under advisement.
