cussion.
The Planning Board was in informal accord that it
would be impractical to try to'legisla'te against multiple

also were of the opinion that the Selectmen's end might be

signs.
A tentative subdivision of land belonging to F. C.
Friend and located on Mass. Avenue opposite 0ak Street was
presented by Mr. Miller of the Lexington Engineering Depart- Friend
ment. The owner wishes to divide the land into lots small- property
er than the rules permit and had made no definite drainage
plan. The Board advised that a drainage scheme must be laid
out, the proposed road studied carefully, and then the matter
could be presented to the Board of Appeals. The Planning
Board advised that in its opinion, it would be useless to
present a scheme involving lots smaller than allowed by our
rules.
Mr. Ferguson read his report on speeding and was
requested to forward copies to the Chairman and Clerk for
presentation to the Selectmen.
The next meeting will be Monday, October 23, at 7:30

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P. M.
Respectfully submitted:
