HomeMy WebLinkAbout1939-07-26 PLANNING BOARD MP RT ING JULY 26, 1939. A meeting of the Planning Board was held on July 26, 1939, at 8:00 P. M. Article 14 in the Warrant for the Town Meeting July R.3 27th was discussed, this being the proposed change in the Apartment Zoning By-Laws to create an R.3 zone for the accommodation House Zone of apartment houses. It was decided that Mr. Ellis should present the vote, Mr. Ferguson the report and Mr. Greeley was asked to explain several points. Mr. Greeley reported that a student, Stuart Chapin, had been recommended by the planning department at M.I.T. Future for possibly doing work for tl3e Planning Board this summer. Planning Mr. Greeley will hire him if he considers him the right man and start him at planning work as follows: (1) Traffic situation and parking at Lexington Center. (2) Tying the Aldrich estate donated by Mr. Hayden into our general scheme. (3) Lexington Meadows . Mr. Ferguson raised the question of some sort of Auto police or sign control to prevent excessive speeding through Traffic Lexington. The Board directed the Clerk to arrange a meet- ing with the Selectmen in this regard. The meeting adjourned at 10:15 P.M. Respectfully submitted: Clerk.
