held Monday,
Ellis, Worthen,
Mr. Greeley read a report from Mr. Hartman relative
to loam stripping, which report was given to Mr. Wright-
ington for study. A pertinent letter from the Wayland
Zoning Board of Appeals was also read and a transcript of
the Wayland Zoning Law with reppect to loam was included.
The Planning Board feels that this particular case of loam
removal from the property of the Monotony Trust Co, on
Lincoln Street should be pushed up to the Supreme Court by
arguing that this issue is not dead until all loam is
stripped from the 56 acres. Furthermore the Board feels
that there is a possibility of arguing the case on grounds
of a public nuisance or menace to the public health and
safety.
It was voted that the matter of preparing a brochure
for the purpose of attracting more profitable citizens to
our town be laid over to the first October meeting.
