It was moved and seconded that the minutes of the pre- vious meeting be adopted as read, and the motion carried. Mr. Greeley reported communications with neighboring planning boards regarding the advisability of employing jointly a planning expert to assist in general comprehensive layouts for future developments and utilities, having in mind Mr. the sort of work Mr. Richard L. Steiner did for us this Steiner summer. The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Richard L. Steiner, 646 Assylum Road, Hartford, Conn., thanking him for his intelligent work this summer in connection with out future problems of layouts. Mr. Greeley reported conversation with Mr. Hultman and his staff regarding making a lake of Lexington Meadows. Mr. Lexington Hultman advised collaboration with Senator Cotton toward Meadows presentation of a bill to the next legislature, ihich bill he would favor. It was moved and seconded that the Chairman appoint a committee to approach Senator Cotton with the idea of promulgating a bill for making a lake of Lexington Meadows, ' this bill to be presented to the next legislature. The motion was carried unanimously. Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Kraetzer were appointed, Mr. Ferguson being Chairman. The idea of a compulsory bond being required for drain- age of future development layouts under Chapter 211 was dis- Chap.211 cussed and the Board felt informally that some compulsory guarantee should be required, but felt that more legal advice was needed before the form of guarantee should be incorpor- ated in our building code. In this connection, the State Planning Board had advised that they favor compulsory guarantees. Sign sizes were discussed but no definite decision was reached, so the Board will report to the committee on revision Buildin@ of the building code after more consideration. Code The next meeting is to be joint with the building code revision committee, this to be arranged and date determined later. The Clerk will notify members. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
