HomeMy WebLinkAbout1938-05-02PLANNING BOARD MEETING May 20 1938 ' Present: Messrs, Greeley, Kimball, Ferguson and Nickerson. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Mr. Greeley read a communication from Frank Ready pertain - Ing to development of his property on Massachusetts Avenue -at Ready the top of Concord Mill, The Planning Board instructed Mr. Develop - Greeley to refer Mr. Ready to our letter of March 2nd in which Mont we asked him to submit a layout for our inspection. Mr. Greeley was requested to write to the various Real Estate Developers in Lexington to notify them that a different method of procedure now exists in line with Article 211, re- cantly adopted by the Town Meeting, and that they should inform themselves of the new method. Chapter A discussion was held relative to the method submitted by 211 the State Planning Board regarding procedure under Article 211. After informal discussion of the material it was decided to concentrate upon this at some future meeting or meetings. Mr. Greeley was requested to get information from the Colonial Assessors regarding the number of tax titles existing in the Heights Colonial Heights Development. ' Moved and seconded that the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee be approached by our Chairman with a request that the Appropriation Committee appoint three of their members to collaborate with us in regard to "valueing the land in the Vine Vine Brook Drainage Area, west of Massachusetts Avenue. Carried Brook unanimously. Moved and seconded that Mr. Greeley and Mr. Kimball contact Mr. Steiner with the idea of engaging him to do research work for the Planning Board this summer and to engage him if a Planning financial arrangement can be made which they feel will be Board acceptable to the Board. Carried unanimously. Next meeting called for Mossy, May 9th at 7:45 P. M. and furthermore, tentative meeting dates were established for June 13 and June 27 at 7;45 P. M. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.
