PLANNING BOARD MEETING
May 25, 1937
Present:- Messrs. Ellis, Ferguson, Kraetzer and Kimball.
Consideration was given to a request signed by ten prop-
erty owners that the Planning Board take the necessary steps
toward amending the Zoning By -Law to change the M.1 District Zoning
in East Lexington to an R.1 District. An amendment was pre- Change
pared and June 18th selected as the date for the hearing. It
was voted that notices should be mailed to owners of property
on the easterly side of Mass. Avenue from Fottler Avenue to the
East Lexington Railroad Station, those within the present M.1
District, and those between Cliffe Avenue, Theresa Avenue,
Fottler Avenue and the Railroad right of way.
The Planning Board met with the Board of Selectmen to
fill the vacancy created by the resignation of NIr. Neil H. Planning
Borden. The Planning Board placed W. Roger Greeleyls name Board
before the meeting and he was elected by a unanimous vote. Member -
The secretary was instructed to write Mr. Borden a ship
letter of appreciation of his services with the Board.
After a brief discussion of lot area and frontages, it Lot Area
was decided to consider plans for a joint meeting with prop- &
erty owners on the west side of the Town at the June 18th Frontage
meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 P. M.
