February 2, 1937
' Present:- Messrs. Borden, Ferguson, Nickerson & Kimball.
Mr. Black appeared before the Board to discuss a layout
for Board of Survey action, providing for an extension of
Slocum Road and a street connecting this extension and Bloomfield
Street Extension. Consideration was given to a tie-in with other
streets in this locality as well as surface drainage. Every-
thing considered it was felt that Slocum Road would naturally
be continued in a westerly direction and that there appeared Black
to be no need for a continuance of the proposed street to inter- Develop -
sect Winthrop Road. Engineer Cosgrove checked the advisability ment
of an easement for drainage as referred to in previous notes.
Mr. Black was advised to make application for Board of Survey
action including the necessary easement.
Mr. Cosgrove T esented a suggested layout of the Tower
property on the easterly side of Follen Road explaining that Tower
Mr. Coleman had brought this subject up. The Board discussed Property
the subject briefly and informally agreed to the lotting and
street provisions. Further study will be necessary before
formal action is taken.
A joint meeting was held with the Board of Selectmen
for the purpose of filling the vacancy on the Planning Board
caused by the resignation of Mr. John A. Sellars. Mr. Clark
proposed Nr. Eugene G. Kraetzer for the office, Mr. Borden Planning
seconded the nomination and Mr. Kraetzer was appointed by a Board
unanimous vote. Member
The Planning Board reconvened with Mr. Kraetzer present
and general discussion centered around Vine Brook areas.
