A re7nlar meeting of the Planning; Board was held in the

The proposed "ircumferential Highway was discussed in
connection �,rith an unofficial communication from the State
Planning 3oard. The general sense of the meeting seemed to
favor a park-iDrotected hi_glaway, if such could be obtained,
along the east side of the Cambridge Reservoir, The Clerk
was instructed to consult with 'x. Haines of the Circum-
ferential ig'hi:va r Corcmittee to ascertain what had been done.
;',e discussion of the zoning and development along the
Concord ni h;70,V followed. ':`r. L�uffy suggested that a com-
preYzensive development of the land adjacent to the highway
could_ be the best r-:eans of deciding what restrictions and
re,7u1<itions :ire necessar•;yr. '�Ir. Robinson suggested_ that a
partial solution of the problem might be the establishment
of business zones about 100 feet from the high,.va7,,*, possibly
on nara.11el streets.
