March 24, 1935
Present. 14,essrs. Duffy, Ellis, t-imball, and Greeley.
The Planning Board met with the Board of Selectmen,
the Town Engineer, and the Superintendent of Parks at the
site of the proposed park near the corner of Burlington and
Grove Streets, on Sunday, March 24, 1935, at 3:00 P. M.
The area, as well as the adjacent property was inspected,
consideration being given to the possibilities of residential
development, if any; the desirability of the property for park
purposes, especially skating, tobogganing and skiing; the
chances of developing adequate facilities for the above sports;
and the opportunity for adding to the proposed purchase area Parks
at a later date.
Mr. Cosgrove had had the proposed area laid out roughly
with the stakes marking the tentative boundary lines. A few
minor changes were recommended.
