M. Messrs. Duffy, Ellis, Greeley, Kimball and Robinson were present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The matter of a hearing on Mrs. Kelley's petition for a change in zoning was brought up, and the date of the hearing was Kelley set for Wednesday, March 6, 1935, at 8:00 P. M. in the Selectmen's Room of the Town Office Building. The Clerk Was instructed to Petition make arrangements for the necessary publicity. It was reported that the State Highway Department had considered a new layout for Watertown Street. Upon consult- ing Mr. Trask, it was learned that the State and County Engineers had proposed a relocation involving less change in alignment than the straight proposal; that this new proposal Watertown had the advantages of less interference with the Belmont Springs Country Club property, and of intersecting the new Street Highway at a nearly level stretch of the highway; that the Town had not seen any maps of this proposal, and the Select- men would not favor it until it had been presented to them in more detail. There seemed to be some doubt if the Town would grant the Board the 000.00 desired for Engineering Services, and the opinion of the Board was that such services were necessary even if they had to be contributed by the Engineering Depart- ment. The Board expressed the opinion that, in Order to dis- cuss intelligently the Clematis Brook situation, it was necessary to have some proposals on a map, as well as some indication of the topography of the area. It was further pointed out that the treatment of the brook would have to Clematis be subordinated to the general development of that area. With this in mind, Messrs. Kimball and Greeley offered to Brook put some proposals on an 800-scale map of the Town, present them to the Board, and then ask the Engineering Department to draw up the suggestions of the Board for further delibera- tion. The meeting was adjourned about 10:45 P. M. Respectfully submitted, Roland B. Greeley (Signed) Clerk
