HomeMy WebLinkAbout1932-12-20PLANNING BOARD ItiIEETING December 20, 1932 A meeting of the Planning 3oard was held in the Conference Room of the Town Office Building, Tuesday, December .20,, 1932, at 8:00 P. Iii. 1,essrs. Emery, Milne, Glynn, Scheibe and,j)uffy were present. The Town Engineer and secretary were also present. Mr. Emery stated that he had talked with Mr. Shurtleff in regard to Vine Brook and found that there are four kinds of 'JJ111o,ms: Common, White., Laurel Leaf and Weeping, and that within the last few years a blight has taken them so they have to be sprayed, The trees should be planted 40 to 50 feet apart for the edging effect over a brook or walk. He suggested planting a Maple after every two 'Nillou°Ts so that if anything happened to kill out "'Dillow the 'a'Jillows, the Maples would still be there. Fie also stated that Trees there should be only one foot elevation or less because when the for Vine time comes to grade, it will affect the growth of the trees. The Brook Town Engineer should determine the distance between the trees so that the steam shovel when excavating would not interfere with tle m.
