Cosgrove was instructed to work o -,_t some further details regarding the acquiring of sait- able land and -,-)robable cost as to development in the event of putting ' a rolad on one or both sides. Consideracle time was ".,iven to the discussion of reviving the project if *Connell and Custanee for the granting of a change in zoning on the land on 71oburn St, near the r4ilroad. This project seems to hale some sli -ht merit over tfte previous pro- position, but the Pro-posal to brink; the b,,zsiness buildings to the street line in violation o� t'he biilding regulation, which e^118 for a 20 ft. set -back, did not meet with the !hoard's approval. The question of utilizing this land for a fire station was taken up, as it-�,ould ay -)pea -r it would nake better accommodations for our ^ire Pe-oart :ent and confine that side of ''ass. Ave. more strictly to community activities than if it were to be turned into a filling station and allied interests.
