BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
NOVEMBER 8, 1976
The regular meeting of the Board of Health was held Monday, November 8,
1976 at 7:00 p.m. in room G-5 of the Town Office Building. Members present
were Dr. William L. Cosgrove, Chairman; Mr James W Lambie, Dr. Michael
S. Erdos, George A Smith, Director of Public Health.
The minutes of the October 18, 1976 meeting were approved as read.
Mr. Smith gave a short history of the Swine Flu Program and related
how our program has progressed to date. On Saturday, November 6, 1976
SWINE approximately 1400 hundred citizens were innoculated. To date we have
FLU offered a clinic for the Senior Citizens and the Chronically ill, the
Town Employees and a number of "mini" clinics at the Well Elderly Clinics.
At the present time we feel that a total of about two thousand people have
received the bivalent or monovalent vaccine. At the present time a clinic
is being planned for December 4, 1976 which we will indicate is our last
clinic
The Board felt that we were giving all townspeople every advantage
to receive this vaccine. The vaccine is available for any of the physicians
in Lexington that want to administer it, all nursing homes have been sup-
plied with the vaccine for both their patients and their staff.
