HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-06-02426 Mr. McQuillan reported he had attended the L. V. N. A. meeting and thought they might ask for an increase in service charges next year, from the Hoard of Health. Mr. McQuillan also reported he had been into the State House and attended the hearing on the State Sanitary Code. The only questions that arose, while he was there were on Mobile homes and Tenting. The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 P.M. SPECIAL MEETING - BOARD OF HEALTH June 2, 1960 A special meeting of the Board of Health was held Thursday, June 2,_1960 at the Battle Gree Inn, Lexington Massachusetts at 12 A.M. Memebers present were R.L.McQuillan, Chairman, Dr. Wil- liam Cosgrove and Health Officerri Mark D. Lurvey. This meeting was called to discuss the advisability of having a public immunization program for Polio. It was agreed that there would be no Mass Clinic for Fourth Polio Shots. The health Department will continue the advertising campaign and also have posters made stressing the importance of Polio immunizations to bring the importance of this program to the attention of the town's people. 1 Mr. Lurvey suggested a letter be sent to each doctor requesting that he canvass each of his ratients suggesting that they be immunized against Polio. The Board voted to send a letter to each Doctor as soon as possible. Meeting adjourned at 1 P.M.
