The Sanitarian's Report was read and discussed. It was
decided that a letter should be sent to all holding Permits
for transporting and disposing of Rubbish stating that the
rules and regulations governing such Dermits must be adhered
to strictly or the Permit will be revoked by the Board. Some
concerns have been very lax as to covering their trucks when
drilling along Lexington streets. If all are notified, perhaps
the condition will be remedied.
A complaint of dumping on vacant land on Bedford Street
(just beyond 5oule's houses) was discussed. Mr. Lurvey sug-
gested he talk with the owner of the lot.
Mr. Joseph Chisholm has applied for a permit to build on
a lot on Woodbury Road. This is a similar case to Mr. Newgent's
on Wingate Road. Mr. Newgent was asked to wait for town sewer
and the Board wishes Mr. Chisholm to wait also.
Mr. McQuillan asked that a letter be sent to the Planning
board reminding the Board that some months ago the Board of
Health suggested a joint meeting to conside a long range plan
for sewer construction in the town, and perhaps a new sewer
survey. At that time the Board of Health felt this was very
important, and agreed to make arrangements with the Board of
Selectmen to have the three Boards meet at a special session
to consider this matter. Up to date the Board of Health has
heard nothing more.
Mr. Lurvey asked the Board's opinion on Mrs. Nellie Norris'
land on Webb Street. It was decided to ask Mr. Lucas, the
Whitman & Howard engineer, to check the whole area and make a
recommendation to the Board before giving Mrs. Norris her
answer.
The meeting adjourned at 4.45 P.M.
