BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
October 17, 1952
A regular meeting of the Board of Health was
held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building,
on Friday, October 17, 1952 at 3;00 P. M. Chairman
McQuillan, Messrs. Cosgrove and Russell were present.
Mr. Jackson, Health Sanitarian, and the Agent were
also present.
Application was received from Elisabeth R. White,
26 Downing Road, for renewal of license to board two
infants.
Infant Mr. Jackson recommended that the application be
Boarding approved and upon motion of Mr. Russell, seconded by
Dr. Cosgrove, it was voted to approve the application
for renewal.
Application was received from Edith L. Woodward,
487 Waltham Street, for renewal of license to board
two infants.
Mr. Jackson recommended that the application bre
approved and upon motion of Mr. Russell, seconded by
Dr. Cosgrove, it was voted to approve the application
for renewal.
Application was received from Donald W. Murphy,
5 Reed Street, Arlington and William Flynn, 31
F. & M. Gardner Street, Arlington, d.b.a. F. & M. Disposal
Rubbish Service, for a permit to collect rubbish in Lexington.
Collection Upon motion of Mr. Russell, seconded by Dr. Cos-
grove, it was voted to grant the license with the
understanding that the vehicles are to be covered,
and there are to be no collections from sidewalks.
Poultry
permit
Application was received from Thomas R. Snelson
for a permit to keep thirty-five poultry at 582 Mas-
sachusetts Ave. Mr. Jackson reported that the applic-
ant has kept poultry at this address for some time,
but without a permit, and that the neighbors do not
object.
Upon motion of Dr. Cosgrove, seconded by Mr.
Russell, it was voted to grant Mr. Snelson a permit
to keep thirty-five poultry.
Application was received from John Brucchi for
a permit to keep eight horses, two steers and seventy-
Brucchi five poultry at 63 Paul Revere Road.
Animal Upon motion of Dr. Cosgrove, seconded by Mr.
Permit Russell, it was voted to grant a permit to Mr. Brucchi

to keep two horses and seventy-five poultry.
The Agent was instructed to advise Town Counsel
that the Board had granted the above mentioned permit,
understands that he is keeping more animals than allowed
on the permit, and further to take whatever action is
necessary to make him comply with the permit.
Mr. Jackson's report for the period September 5th
through October 16th was noted and placed on file.
t!r. Jackson reported that there are thirty-eight
houses located in the so-called Manor. Section that
have not as yet complied with the Board's order of Manor
February, 1952 to connect with the sewer before Sep- sewer
tember 15, 1952. connections
Mr. Russell agreed to compose a letter to be sent
to all individuals who have not complied with the order
or have not made a deposit for connecting, requesting
them to advise the Board in writing as to why connections
have not been made and what they intend to do.
The meeting adjourned at 4;15 P. M.
