BOARD OF HE/LTH MEETING
September 18, 1950
A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held
in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Fri-
day, September 15, 1950 at 3 :00 P.M. chairman Cosgrove;
Mr. Jackson, the Sanitarian; and Miss Murray, the Agent,
were present.
The health Sanitarian' s report for the period from
July 20 to Spetember 14th was received, recd and placed
on file .
Applications were received from the following per-
sons for licenses to furnish day care to childrent
Community Nursery School 2325 Massachusetts Avenue
Mrs . Jane H. Cuzner 173 Marrett Road
Mrs. Allen H. Ward 233 East Street
Inasmuch as the Community Nursery School has been
granted permission, from the Board of A, peals, to con-
duct a school in the residentail area, the 'hairman
signed the permit required from the Board of Health
and the Agent agreed to forward it to the other members
of the Board for signatures.
Due to the fact that permission to maintain pri-
vate schools in a residentail area is something which
the Board of Appeals should act upon, no action was
taken on the other two applications . The Agent was
instructed to advise the applicants that the Board
of Health will consider this subject insofar as it
comes under its jurisdiction of and when approval
is given by the Board of Appeals.
The AgBnt informed the Chairman, and had previous-
ly explained the situation to Messrs. Russell and Mc-
Quillan, that the balance in the Board of Health Expenses
Account as of September 1st was $364.00 and the antic-
ipated expenses for the balance of the year amount to
$2,767.50. It was unanimously agreed that a transfer
of $2,800 from the Reserve Fund be requested.
The meeting adjourned at 3:40 P.M.
