This Act requires Boards of Health to provide for the transportation of prematurely born infants -to hospitals equipped to care for such infants. Apparently the State requires Boards of Health to provide incubators. The Clerk informed the Board that in discussing this subject with the Woburn Board of Health she was adtlsed that incubators may be obtained from the Childrents Hospital at a cost of approximately $ 195. The Clerk in the Public Works Department said that she would have such a list prepared within a week. The Chairman explained that the Lexington Visiting Nurse Association will not receive the anticipated allotment from the Community Fund and therefore would like the Board of Health to include an item of $2,000 in the 1949 budget to pay for services rendered the Town by that Agency. The Association contends that work is being done which would ordinarily be accomplished by a Town Nurse. It was agreed to write to the Appro- priation Committee on the subject.
