BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING June 18, 1948 A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in the Selectments Room, Town Office Building on Friday, June 18, 1948 at 3:00 p.m. Chairman McQuillan and Mr. Terhune were present. The Health Inspector and the Clerk were also present. The members of the Board were notified of the meeting by a postal card mailed at least one week in advance. Inasmuch as Mr. Russell was unable to attend this meeting, it was the decision of the two members present to postpone the organization of the Board. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to re -appoint Mr. John Lamont to the positions of Health and Milk Inspector in the Town of Lexingtn for a term expiring June 1, 1949. Copy of a letter from the State Department of Public Her1 th to the Bedford Board of Health, relative to the DeFelice piggery in Bedford, was received. Mr. Lamont reported that he had discussed this sub- ject with the Bedford officials and was given the im- pression that the Town of Bedford would eliminate any health menace and unsanitary conditions without assistance from the Town of Lexington. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to renew the following licenses: Lowland Dairy Farm 92 Veronica V. Belcastro 174 Robert J. Consideration was given to the fact that the citizens of Lexington encounter extreme difficulty in trying to obtain medical assistance evenings and weekends. Suggestion was made that the Board of Health write to the members of the medical profession and solicit their co-oper- ation whereby some arrangement may be made to assure 1 1 1 proper medical coverage of the Town at all times. Further consideration is to be given this subject at the next meeting of the Board when all members will be present. The members of the Board also discussed reports submitted by the Health Inspector. It was unanimously decided that the reports now received are of little value insofar as the Board of Health records are concerned, and it was suggested that mimeographed forms be prepared whereby specific information may be submitted to the Board each month. The meeting adjourned at 4;25 p.m. A true record, Attest; A-ggen Pard of Heal /h 17 Forms for Healtt Inspector Reports
