HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-03-1810 Poultry Permits BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING March 18, 1948 A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Thursday afternoon, March 18, 1948 at 3:00 p.m. Messrs. McQuillan, Russell and Lamont were present. The Agent was also present. Upon motions duly made and seconded, the following appointments were made for a period of one year expiring March 31, 1949: Inspector of Animals Slaughter Inspector Health Inspector Milk Inspector Agent Special Agent Special Agent - John J. Murphy, D.V.M. - George G. Whiting - John Lamont - John Lamont - Hazel J. Murray - Howard R. Carley (Met. State - Thomas S. Bowdige " " Hosp. " Application was received from Dominic Iovino for permission to keep 400 poultry at a farm in James Street. The application was not acted upon inasmuch as the Board prefers to determine whether or not Mr. Iovino has com- piled with the Board of Health requirements insofar as the condition of the premises is concerned. Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to send a letter to the residents of the Manor Section relative to connecting with the sewer within one year from the time of receipt of such a letter. This letter is to be mailed when the project has been completed. The Health Inspector was requested to obtain a list of individuals in Lexington who slaughter poultry and to advise them that it is necessary to obtain a permit to keep poultry and also a permit to slaughter poultry. Application was received from. Richard F. Rodehiser for a renewal of his permit to clean cesspools in the Town of Lexington. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to renew the permit for a period of one year, expiring March 31, 1949. A true record, Attest: 1
