Open Session Minutes
April 19, 2018
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on April 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the Selectmen Meeting Room of the
Town Hall Office Building.
In attendance: Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, Casimir Groblewski, Member, Robert F. Lent,
Director of Assessing, Michael Golden,Assistant Assessor/Residential Field Manager and Sandra Pentedemos,
Administrative Assessor.
The Chairman, Gregory Johnson called the Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Open Session
Public Comment Time: No members of the public were present..
There were no discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay Fund.
Chairman Johnson made a motion that the Board of Assessors go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to
deliberate Fiscal Year 2018 Statutory Exemption Applications, Real Estate Abatement Applications since deliberation in
Open Session could be detrimental to potential appeal or litigation matters, consistent with requirements and practices
specified in the Open Meeting Law Guide.
The Board voted,•3-0 in favor to go into Executive Session at 5:15 p.m.

Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors adjourned the Executive Session at 7:00 p.m. and
returned to Open Session of the Meeting.
Open Session
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of nine denials of Real Estate, one denial of a Personal Property Abatement
and approving of the remaining Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 59 Real Estate and Personal Property Abatement
applications. (See list in Executive folder).
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of approving of the various Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 5 Clauses
of Statutory Exemption applications. (See List in Executive folder).
There were no Appellate Tax Board discussions.
The Board approved of the February 22,2018, March 1,2018 and March 9, 2018 Open and Executive Meeting Minutes.
The Board of Assessors next Meeting will be held on April 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 7:05 p.m. to adjourn the Meeting.
