Open Session Minutes
April 12, 2018
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on April 12, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. in the Reed Meeting Room of the Town
Hall Office Building.
In attendance: Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, Casimir Groblewski, Member, Robert F. Lent,
Director of Assessing and Sandra Pentedemos,Administrative Assessor.
The Chairman, Gregory Johnson called the Meeting to order at 8:45 a.m.
Open Session
Public Comment Time: No members of the public were present.
There were no discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay Fund.
Chairman Johnson made a motion that the Board of Assessors go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to
deliberate Fiscal Year 2018 Statutory Exemption Applications, Real Estate Abatement Applications, and Personal
Property Abatement Applications since deliberation in Open Session would be detrimental to potential appeal or
litigation matters, consistent with requirements and practices specified in the Open Meeting Law Guide.
The Board voted, 3-0 in favor to go into Executive Session at 9:05 a.m.

Upon motion duly made and seconded,the Board of Assessors adjourned the Executive Session at 11:30 a.m. and
returned to Open Session of the Meeting.
Open Session
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of seven denials and the approval of the remaining Fiscal Year 2018
Chapter 59, Section 59 Real Estate Applications. (See list in Executive folder).
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of the denial of one Property Tax Deferral, one Elderly and one Community
Preservation Exemption, and the approval of the remaining Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 5 various Clauses of
Statutory Exemption Applications. (See List in Executive folder).
There were no Appellate Tax Board discussions.
The Board postponed discussion of the Meeting Minutes.
The Board of Assessors next Meeting will be held on April 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 11:45 a.m. to adjourn the Meeting.
