Open Session Minutes
April 5, 2018
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on April 5,2018 at 8:45 a.m. in the Reed Meeting Room of the Town Hall
Office Building.
In attendance: Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, Casimir Groblewski, Member, Robert F. Lent,
Director of Assessing, Michael Golden,Assistant Assessor/Residential Field Manager and Sandra Pentedemos,
Administrative Assessor.
The Chairman, Gregory Johnson called the Meeting to order at 8:45 a.m.
Open Session
Public Comment Time: There were no attendees.
There were no discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay Fund.
Chairman Johnson made a motion that the Board of Assessors go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to
deliberate Fiscal Year 2018 Statutory Exemption Applications, Real Estate Abatement Applications, and Personal Property
Abatement Applications since deliberation in Open Session would be detrimental.
The Board voted, 3-0 in favor to go into Executive Session at 9:00 a.m.

Upon motion duly made and seconded,the Board of Assessors adjourned the Executive Session at 10:15 a.m. and
returned to Open Session of the Meeting.
Open Session
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of three denials, a deem deny of Fiscal Year 2018 Personal Property
Abatement and approving of the remaining Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 59 Real Estate applications. Greg
Johnson had abstained from the vote of one real property. (See list in Executive folder).
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 5 various Clauses of Statutory
Exemption applications. (See List in Executive folder).
There were no Appellate Tax Board discussions.
The Board postponed discussion of the Meeting Minutes.
The Board of Assessors next Meeting will be held on April 12, 2018 at 8:45 a.m.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 10:25 a.m. to adjourn the Meeting.
