SELECTMEN'S MEETING
July 18,1949.
A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the
Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Monday evening,
July 18, 1949 at 5:30 p. m. The Chairman, Mr. Nickerson and
the Clerk were present.
Mr. DeFoe, Superintendent of Public Works, Mr. Burns, the
Town Engineer, and six other persons were present for public
opening of bids for the construction of a section of Colony
Road. Bids were read by the Chairman as follows:

32 Minot Street, Dorchester no bid submitted.
The Chairman explained that the usual procedure is to
return all checks, with the exception of the three low bid-
ders. A representative from the Raino Contracting Company
took his company's check as did a representative from the
James A. Suci Company. The group retired at 5:45 p.m.
Letter was received from Mr. Carroll, Town Treasurer, sub-
mitting a list of bidders for a $75,000 water construction
loan for one year. Bidn received were as follows:

The meeting adjourned at 6;50 p. m.
