Home My WebLink About1949-03-28133 SELECTMEN'S MEETING March 28, 1949 A meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the Selectmen's Room on Monday evening, March 28, 1949 at 7:30 P.M. prior to the Adjourned Town Meeting. Chairman Emery, Messrs. Gay, Nicker- son and Hoyt were present. The Clerk was also present. Mr. Carroll, Town Clerk, left the jury box in the custody of the Clerk of the Board due to the fact that he was busy with his duties in connection Juror with the Adjourned Town Meeting. Mr. Harry W. Litchfield, Milk Dealer,. 1949 Massachusetts Avenue, was drawn to serve on criminal business beginning April 4, 1949. The Chairman mentioned the appointment to be made to the Board of Health. Mr. Gay moved that Dr. William L. Cosgrove be appointed to fill the unexpired term caused by the resignation of Carl Terhune. Mr. Nickerson seconded the motion. Mr. Hoyt stated that he opposed the appoint- Appointment ment and suggested that action be postponed until to Board all members of the Board are present. Mr. Gay then of Health withdrew his motion and Mr. Nickerson had no object- ion. The meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M. The next regular meeting of the Board will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 1949.
