SELECTMEN'S MEETING
December 12, 1945
A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was
held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building,
on Wednesday evening, December 12, 1945, at 7:00 p.m.
Members were notified by telephone on December 11, 1945.
Chairman Locke, Messrs. Potter and Rowse were present.
This meeting was held for the purpose of calling a
Special Town Meeting for the appropriation of additional
funds for snow removal.
Special Town The Clerk informed the Board that the Public Welfare
[Meeting Agent had advised that if they had 500 additional in the
Old Age - Aid & Expenses all pending bills could be paid.
The Town Accountant suggested that an Article be
included in the Warrant whereby it would not be necessary
to transfer this money from the Reserve Fund.
The Chairman informed the Board that two warrants
had been typed, one including an Article pertaining to
an appropriation for Old Age Assistance, and that Mr.
Wrightington had checked the Articles with the Clerk by
telephone.
[ Upon motion of Mr. Rowse, seconded by Mr. Potter,
it was voted to sign the warrant including the Old Age
Assistance Article, calling a Special Town Meeting for
December 28, 1945.
