district in Lexington, on the seventh day of April current,
Col. Joshua Russel was chosen moderator,
Jason Reed was chosen Clerk, and
Messrs. John Viles
William Smith Jr, and
Isaac Mullekin [Mulliken] were chosen a committee to
manage the affairs of the said district the ensuing
year.
1st. Voted that the Committee be requested to employ Miss Ann
Merriam to instruct the school, the ensuing season.
2d Voted to adjourn this meeting to the second monday
of October next
Lexington April 7th 1824.
