LEXINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING
Wednesday, February 25, 2015

The meeting convened 7:00 pm
The joint Summit 7 meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM. After discussion of the School
Building Project Consensus Plan, the School Committee presented the current request that will
be made to Special Town Meeting for $4,080,000 for design funds for recommended projects.
Jon Himmel, chair of the Permanent Building Committee, presented a breakdown of the soft cost
budget recommendation and a proposed timeline.
At 9:15 PM, the School Committee entered into discussion about whether to recommend
standard modulars or pre-fabricated modulars at Fiske School. This decision had been put off at
the School Committee meeting of February 24, 2015.
Motion to place pre-fabricated modulars at Fiske School. (Hurley, Crocker)
The Motion was approved. (3-2) (Alessandrini, Coppe)
Further discussion continued about communicating decision to the community.
Motion to Adjourn (Steigerwald, Crocker)
The Motion was approved. 5-0
The meeting adjourned at 9:46 PM.
