Executive Session: 7:01 PM
The chair informed the committee that she had held discussions with counsel Colby Brunt about
how to post and how to proceed with tonight’s executive session.
The committee members discussed the options available to them with regard to negotiating Dr.
Ash’s contract, which currently runs through June 30, 2015. He requested a three year extension
in writing on October 20, 2013. The options are:
1. Acknowledge his request and enter negotiations for a three year contract
2. Acknowledged his request, but allow the notice provision in the current contract to take
effect (this allows for a one-year extension and requires negotiation for that year’s
contract provisions)
3. Not renew his contract beyond June 30, 2015
Ms. Stewart moved, and Ms. Brodner seconded, to return to open session
