LEXINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE - EXECUTIVE SESSION
Lexington Town Office Building, Selectmen’s Meeting Room

Minutes were taken by the Chair.
Present: Superintendent Dr. Paul Ash; School Committee Chair, Mary Ann
Stewart; School Committee Vice-Chair, Alessandro Alessandrini; Margaret Coppe;
and Bonnie Brodner. (Jessie Steigerwald and Student Representative Noah Coolidge in
absentia).
Meeting convened in open session at 7:30 PM and went into executive session at
10:16 PM, not to return to open session.
Motion to go into Executive Session for Lexington Educational Secretaries
Association Collective Bargaining and Litigation, not to return to open
session (Exemption 3; Coppe, Alessandrini). Alessandrini-aye; Coppe-aye;
Brodner-aye; Stewart-aye.
Executive Session
Superintendent Ash briefed the Committee on the settlement proposal for Ms. Linda
Solomon, a member of the Lexington Educational Secretaries Association (LESA), as
recommended by School Committee Counsel, Robert Fraser of Stoneman, Chandler, and
Miller, LLP. There were questions and comments from members of the Committee.
Motion: That the School Committee Chair be directed to sign the Settlement
Agreement by and between the School Committee of the Town of Lexington,
Massachusetts, the Lexington Educational Secretaries Association, and Ms.
Linda Solomon of Boston, Massachusetts (Brodner, Alessandrini).
Alessandrini-aye; Brodner-aye; Coppe-aye; and Stewart-aye.
Motion to adjourn Executive Session (Coppe, Brodner). Alessandrini-aye;
Brodner-aye; Coppe-aye; and Stewart-aye.
The Executive Session adjourned at 10:30 PM.
