LEXINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING
Monday, April 4, 2011
Lexington Town Office Building, Room 111
1625 Massachusetts Avenue
Present: Superintendent Paul Ash, School Committee Chair Mary Ann Stewart, School
Committee Members Sandro Alessandrini, Bonnie Brodner, Margaret Coppe, Jessie
Steigerwald and student representative Noah Coolidge. The minutes were taken by Leora Tec.
The meeting was convened at 6:33 p.m.
I. Call to Order and Welcome (Chair Mary Ann Stewart)
II. Discussion
1. Town Meeting Articles. Members discussed various Articles impacting the schools that will
come up at Town Meeting. The Committee decided not to take a position on the proposed
amendment to Article 4 at this time.
III. Action Items
1. Vote to Approve School Committee Minutes of March 1, 2011.
The minutes were approved as amended.
Paul Ash gave a favorable report of the recent LEF fundraiser and Committee members
concurred.
IV. The meeting was recessed to reconvene on the floor of Town Meeting and adjourn at the
close of Town Meeting.
