Selectmen of Lexington.
The undersigned freeholders, inhabitants of the town of
Lexington request you to call a meeting of the inhabitants
of sd [said] town qualified to vote in town affairs on Monday the
fifteenth day of may one thousand eight hundred & twenty one
at three o'clock P.M. to act on the following articles. / Viz
Art 1st to Choose a Moderator.
Art 2d to see if the Town will reconsider a vote passed at a
meeting of the inhabitants of sd town May 1st 1826 to purchase
an Organ.
Art 3d to see if the town will reconsider a vote passed on
the 1st day of May appointing Nathaniel Mulliken
Elias Phinney Esqr & Ambrose Morrell a Committee to
purchase the Organ.
Art 4th to see if the town will reconsider a vote passed on
sd 1st May by which the sum of nine hundred
dollars was granted to purchase sd Organ, or act
upon any subject appertaining to the abovenamed
articles.
Art 5th to see what method the town will take to encourage
sacred music the year ensuing & grant money for
the same.
