PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF APRIL 11, 2018
A meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in the Parker Room was called to order at 6:02
p.m. by Chair, Richard Canale with members Ginna Johnson, Charles Hornig, and Bob Creech,
and planning staff Aaron Henry and Lori Kaufman present. Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti was absent.
**********************DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION***********************
Cedar Street, Performance Guarantee Modification Reduction:
The applicant was requesting a draw down in the amount of $302,006.36 for the work completed
so far which includes the installation of the drainage system and other items.
On a motion of Mr. Hornig, seconded by Mr. Creech., it was voted, 4-0, to authorize the Planning
Director to sign the performance guarantee modification to reduce the amount by $302,006.36 on
behalf of the Planning Board.

Discussion of Town Meeting Articles:
Articles 39 & 40, Neighborhood Conservation Districts:
This will be a joint presentation with the Historical Commission.
The Board of Selectmen (BOS) voted 5-0 to recommend approval of these articles.
Article 42, Special Permit Residential Developments:
Mr. Canale explained to the Planning Board what he will include in his presentation which included
a Planning Board Member’s issue regarding feasibility. Concerns were expressed by a Board
Member that due to the tightened restrictions of the Shared Benefit Developments (SBD) that only
conventional developments will be proposed in the future.
Upcoming Meetings:

May 30 will be the Hartwell Avenue Zoning Initiative public meeting.

June 4 will be the first large external Comprehensive Plan meeting in Battin Hall at 7:00 p.m.

The Planning Board meeting on May 10 will include discussion about the upcoming 2019 fiscal
year work plan and reorganization of the Planning Board. The upcoming Fall Special Town
Meeting will be very busy.
Mr. Canale will be away June 9 through June 25, 2018.
On a motion, duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
