PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
MEETING OF MARCH 26, 2018
A meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in the Parker Room was called to order at 6:00
p.m. by Chair, Richard Canale with members Ginna Johnson, Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti, and
Bob Creech, and planning staff Aaron Henry and Lori Kaufman present. Charles Hornig joined
the meeting in progress at 6:05 p.m.
*******************************STAFF REPORTS********************************
General Updates:
The Comprehensive Plan Liaison Meeting is at 6:00 p.m. and the CPAC regular meeting at 6:30
p.m. tomorrow evening.
Upcoming Meetings & Anticipated Meetings:
There is a meeting Wednesday, March 28, 2018, which includes Open Meeting Law Complaint
and street naming for 0 Grove Street. Wednesday the Board will decide if they need to meet the
following week.
Comprehensive Plan Update:
Staff is honing in on makeup date for the housing panel. As staff gets the dates for the panels they
will be send out immediately, but are waiting for the panel leader’s availability.

Review and Approve: Planning Board Article 2 Report:
The Board reviewed the draft Article 2 report with Mr. Canale’s revisions. The final updated
report will be on the table for the Board to sign on Wednesday.
On a motion of Mr. Hornig, seconded by Ms. Corcoran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 5-0, to approve
the Article 2 report with Mr. Canale’s changes.
Review and Approve: Planning Board Article Reports:
On a motion of Ms. Johnson seconded by Ms. Corcoran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 5-0, to
recommend support of Article 40, Pierce-Lockwood, Neighborhood Conservation District (NCD)
to Town Meeting.
Mr. Creech recused himself from the vote on Article 39, Turning Mill NCD.
On a motion of Ms. Johnson seconded by Ms. Corcoran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 4-0, to
recommend support of Article 39, Turning Mill, NCD to Town Meeting.

The Board discussed the revisions/corrections by Mr. Canale to the report for Article 40 for
Pierce Lockwood NCD and staff will bring the updated draft motion and report on Wednesday
with the corrections for the Board to vote on.
Review of Planning and Land Use Articles:
Article 38, Marrett Road/Spring Street Commercial rezoning: No need to reconsider the vote.
Article 42, Special Permit Residential Developments: The Board will need to discuss Article 42
after the Board receives the final motion from the petitioner and will discuss further on
Wednesday.
Article 43, Medical Marijuana: No need to reconsider the vote.
Board Report Presentations to Town Meeting will be made as follows:
Articles 39 & 40, NCDs:
Mr. Canale will present the NCD reports to Town Meeting.
Article 42, Special Permit Residential Developments:
Ms. Johnson will present the Planning Board report to Town Meeting.
Article 43, Medical Marijuana:
Mr. Hornig will present the Planning Board report to Town Meeting.
Article 38, Marrett Road/Spring Street Commercial Rezoning
Mr. Canale will present the Planning Board report to Town Meeting
Review of Articles of Interest:
On a motion of Ms. Johnson, seconded by Ms. Corocran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 5-0, to
recommend support of Article 41 to Town Meeting.
On a motion of Ms. Johnson, seconded by Ms. Corocran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 5-0, to
recommend support of Article 44 to Town Meeting.
On a motion of Mr. Hornig, seconded by Ms. Corocran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 5-0, to
recommend support of Articles to 10b & 10j to Town Meeting.
The Board will discuss Articles 16(b), 16(c), 16(l), and 16(m) on Wednesday. Mr. Kucharsky
should have a quick slide show if his item is still pulled out of the consent agenda.

Minutes Review and Approval:
On a motion of Mr. Hornig, seconded by Ms. Corcoran-Ronchetti, it was voted, 5-0, to approve
the minutes of March 14, 2018, as submitted.

On a motion, duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
