To Leonard Thorning & Joseph Goodnow - of Lexington in the aforesaid County, two disintered [disinterested] and Judicious persons. Greeting By virtue of the power & authority to me given in and by a law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts entitlled "An act respecting lost Goods and Stray Beasts" I do hereby appoint you to appraise upon oath at the true value thereof in money, according to your best skill and Judgement, a large red ox found by Robert Parker of the aforesaid town in his inclosure on the eight of December instant, having performed This service, you are to make return of this warrant into the town clerks office of said Lexington within seven days from this date hereof.
