To Mr Robert Parker & Thad's [Thaddeus] Reed both of
Lexington in said County, two disinterested and Juditious
persons, By virtue of the power and authority to me given, in and by
a law of the Commonwealth, entitled an act respecting lost Goods
and Stray beasts", I do Hereby appoint you to appraise upon
oath at the true value thereof in money acording to your best
skill and Judgement a light dapple Gray Mare taken up by Isaac
Muzzy of said Lexington - having performed this service you are
to make return of this Warrant into the Town Clerk office
of said Lexington with seven days from the date hereof -
Given under my hand and seal at Lexington the second
day of July A.D. 1872 ~ John Mulliken Just Peace
Then the above named Robert Parker & Thad Reed appeared
and made solemn oath that they would faithfully and impartially
perform the service to which they are appointed by the above warrant

We the subscribers have attended the service assigned us
by the above warrant and have appraised the above said mare
at
